With it's origins in the Production Company chayescene productions (pronounced chase scene, the company that brought PAPA to the Eureka in May 2006) Theatre Out of Order is just that, theatre that's run out of order. Exploring the developmental process is just one aspect of Theatre Out of Order's mission, which is " . . . to help find out what will revitalize the American stage."  

 We are a company that believes Theatre itself is "out of order" and repair is needed. We will be seeking solutions and searching for ways to help the ailing institution. 

What's out of order?

Our first solo outing, a play by Christopher Hayes, MATCH PLAY is closed. We closed early due to turnout and lack of reviews. We'd like to thank Molly Rhodes who came on behalf of the SF Weekly. We'd also ask her to read the following statement more closely,  ". . .to help find out what will revitalize the American stage." We believe that it begins with an open dialogue for each piece of theatre seeking one, and she came through for us. Thanks. -See more on our mission statement as it's draft is finalized-

Friends Of Crisis Hopkins

This; my friends, is funny: Two local Improv troops with roots nation-wide are guests of Crisis Hopkins on September 29th at San Francisco’s Eureka Theatre (Jackson at Battery). 8PM show with music, libations and plenty of comedy skillz on stage.
